The primary purpose of this role is to drive sustainable business growth through the acquisition of new customers and the promotion of the Bank's products and services. The Direct Sales Agent (DSA) is responsible for identifying sales opportunities, generating quality leads, converting prospects into customers, and deepening client relationships through exceptional service delivery. The incumbent will serve as a key ambassador of the Bank, actively engaging potential customers within targeted communities, workplaces, and business environments to understand their financial needs and provide tailored banking solutions. The role contributes directly to the achievement of the Bank's sales objectives, market expansion strategy, and customer growth targets.

KPA (Key Performance Areas)

Key Responsibilities

A)      Sales and Business Development

·    Proactively identify, target, and acquire new customers through direct sales activities, networking, referrals, field visits, and community engagement initiatives.

·    Promote and sell the Bank's products and services, including transactional banking products, savings and investment solutions, personal loans, credit cards, insurance products, and digital banking services.

·    Generate and maintain a healthy sales pipeline to ensure consistent achievement of sales and revenue targets.

·      Conduct customer needs assessments and recommend suitable financial solutions that align with customers' financial objectives.

·    Execute effective sales presentations and product demonstrations, clearly articulating product features, benefits, pricing, and value propositions.

·      Manage the entire sales lifecycle, from prospecting and lead generation through to onboarding, activation, and post-sale support.

·   Consistently meet or exceed individual monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and key performance indicators.

B)      Customer Relationship Management

·  Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers to enhance customer retention and loyalty.

·   Deliver exceptional customer service by responding promptly and professionally to customer enquiries and concerns.

·    Identify opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell relevant banking products and services.

·   Act as a trusted advisor by providing customers with informed financial guidance and personalized banking solutions.

·  Ensure a positive onboarding experience and facilitate seamless customer integration into the Bank's product ecosystem.

C)      Operational Excellence and Compliance

·      Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, sales activities, and business development initiatives within the relevant CRM and banking systems.

·    Ensure full compliance with the Bank's policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and risk management frameworks.

·    Prepare and submit sales reports, pipeline updates, and activity reports within required timelines.

·  Safeguard customer information and uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.

·   Continuously enhance product knowledge and remain informed about the Bank's products, campaigns, service offerings, and industry developments.

D)     Stakeholder Collaboration

·     Collaborate closely with branch staff and internal stakeholders to facilitate successful customer onboarding and service delivery.

·       Support marketing campaigns, sales activations, and community engagement initiatives aimed at expanding the Bank's customer base.

·    Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and performance review discussions to drive continuous improvement and sales effectiveness.

Minimum requirements

Qualification

·         Diplomain business administration or related

·         A Bachelor’s Degree qualification

Experience

·     Previous experience in a sales, customer service, or business development environment will be advantageous.

·     Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and contribute to business growth.

·         Basic understanding of banking products, services, and sales processes.

·    Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

·     Strong understanding of customer relationship management principles   and sales techniques.

·    Experience in community engagement, field marketing, direct sales, or informal market initiatives will be an added advantage.

·         A minimum of one (1) year sales experience will be advantageous.
