To harness and maximise existing and new business opportunity for Small and Medium Enterprises within the Business Banking space for the country. Drive and oversee SME business growth opportunities.
Job description
Key responsibilities include:
- Drive and oversee sales across the entire Retail Banking Services distribution network.
- Relate with Regional Managers, Business Managers & Commercial and SME Bankers to achieve sales targets within this segment.
- Acquire market information and develop appropriate sales strategies for specific products in the SME segment.
- Review and enhance the current Customer Value Proposition (CVP) linked to overall SME CVP.
- Participate in special events to support product awareness and sales goals i. E GRN programs, NCCI, NIPDB, One Economy Foundation, Financial Literacy Initiative, SME Compete etc.
- Drive cross-selling and up-selling initiatives by identifying opportunities to offer additional relevant products to existing clients.
- Mentor and provide sales support to SME Clients and SME Bankers.
- Develop, deliver and implement marketing campaigns in specific focus areas.
- Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders by working closely with credit teams, legal teams, product specialists, and other departments to ensure seamless client service and support.
- Review local trade finance applications and Government Scheme applications for completeness.
Minimum requirements
Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Financial Services field, Business Management or equivalent qualification.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- At least five years Banking Experience with three at least in the Business Banking or Sales environment.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth through strategic sales and marketing initiatives.
- Deep knowledge of the SME banking value proposition and its relevance to the SME market.
- Dynamic professional with a deep understanding of market dynamics, customer behavior, and competitor offerings and strategies, translating insights into profitable sales and marketing outcomes.
