Key Performance Areas (KPAs)
 
1. SERVICE:
 
• Ensure that all SWIFT messages are accurately processed on time and in line with the SWIFT Rules and Regulations.
• Ensure that all clients including Branches, Banks and Head Office staff are handled in a professional manner and also to provide them with accurate information and guidance about the Bank’s SWIFT services.
 
2.    ADMINISTRATION:
 
• Accurate processing of all SWIFT messages with subsequent follow up where necessary.
• Ensure that charges are recovered when relaying messages to other banks.
• Scanning of SWIFT hardcopies to relevant parties.
• Printing and scanning of all MT940/MT950 statements to relevant parties.
• Filing of SWIFT hardcopies relevant to the area.
• Delivery of query messages to relevant parties.
• Printing, listing and delivery of all Incoming Payment related messages.
• Correct processing of all Vostro account statements on a daily basis.
• Ensure a clear understanding of all different SWIFT message types.
• Ensure that all the current day’s instructions have been processed and that nothing is held over to prevent paying Back Valuation Charges or alternative Interest Claims.
• Correct and timeous processing of all MT191 charges.
• Archiving of SWIFT boxes to be done on a regular basis.

Minimum requirements

Experience/Knowledge & Skills
 
• Knowledge of the system and processing activities 
• General knowledge of SWIFT products and services provided by the Bank
• 1 Year SWIFT experience in a banking environment
• Professional image and grooming
• Self-confidence and interpersonal skills
• SWIFT is a distinct advantage
• Analytical and technical skills
 
 
QUALIFICATION
 
• Matric (Grade12)
