To ensure professional support to the Manager Credit and Senior Credit Officers to effectively manage credit facilities in compliance with the Bank’s credit policy and procedures.
Job description

Key Performance Areas (KPAs)
 
1 Customer Service
1.1 The person should be friendly and helpful and is responsible for direct support to credit officials without wasting time.

2 Administration (doing)
2.1 Ensure ITC Checks was performed and recorded.
2.2 Ensure monthly/quarterly/annual revision of account exposure are documented and forwarded to applicable centralised office.
2.3 Ensure necessary limits and rate structure are created on the system.
2.4 Ensure limit adjustments are done on instruction from Manager Credit/Credit Officer and that customer record is adjusted accordingly (system notes).
2.5 Ensure excess memorandum are typed, signed and submitted to centralised Credit Office.
2.6 Ensure reports and standard statements are prepared and forwarded to Manager Credit/Credit officer for checking.
2.7 Ensure that differences between source documents and the system are corrected and that lists are filed.
2.8 Ensure that costs are recovered in accordance with the prescribed guidelines.
2.9 Ensures that monthly returns/reports are typed, signed and submitted to centralised Credit Office.
2.10 Ensure that daily credit exceptions are actioned, e.g limits expired.
2.11 Sees to it that all instructions from Manager Credit/Credit Officer are carried out accurately and on time
2.12 Ensure all lists and reports are attended to daily and rectified.
2.13 Sees that filing of client’s advance files and related documentation are done correctly and timeously.
2.14 Achieving credit control assessment targets.
 
3 Customer Focus
3.1 Provide professional customer service and give correct information to clients.
 
4 Sales Focus
 
4.1 Identify cross-selling opportunities and refer such opportunities and leads to the correct person or department involved.

5 Expertise
5.1 Adequate knowledge of Banks products and services that applies to this post.
5.2 Has sufficient knowledge of the systems and procedures that apply to his job to carry out the work effectively.

6 Conduct
6.1 Abide by and uphold the Banks “code of conduct” regarding: professionalism, commitment, reliability, confidentiality, brand loyalty, behaviour in public discipline, etc.

Minimum requirements

Minimum requirements

•    At least 6 months general banking experience
•    Knowledge of Business & Administration Procedures
•    Banking product knowledge

 
Qualifications
Grade 12
Certificate in Banking will be an added advantage
