Job description

Key Performance Areas (KPAs)
  1. 1. APPLICATION ADMINISTRATION 
  2. 1.1 HANDLING OF APPLICATIONS
  3. 1.1.1 The person is responsible for checking of application forms and supportive documentation for                                                           completeness and correctness.
  4. 1.1.2 See that applications for approval are processed within 24 hours

1.2 ANALIZING APPLICATIONS FOR MANAGEMENT APPROVAL
1.2.1     Responsible to comprehend a client’s ITC and Bank report and do an asset and liability evaluation to determine a client’s credit worthiness against 6 (six) months bank statements and verify on Income & Exposure form. Do calculations on our Bonds Calculator and complete Income and expenditure statement.
1.2.2     Responsible to interpret valuations report and quotations. Check valuation report for any risk factors for example area size of property, insurance value, general condition of property, etc.  Quotations should be screened and approval committee will be informed of any irregularities regarding builders, prizes (Renovation), nature of Renovations, etc.
1.2.3     Do name enquiry on system and check relationships of client to determine 100% Credit worthiness and total credit exposure of the said client.
1.2.4     FIA compliance should be checked as it should be thoroughly completed by the Sales department (Sales Consultants) as per prescribed rules by Bank of Namibia.
1.2.5     Check that Deed of Sales is correctly completed and signed.
1.2.6     Present application on a daily basis for approval to Credit Committee. 
1.2.7     Do recommendations to Credit Committee on applications tabled for assessment.

1.3 FEEDBACK TO CONSULTANTS, AGENCIES AND CLIENTS
The person responsible must see to it that clients, consultants and agencies are informed within 24 hours about the committee’s decision regarding their applications.
1.4 SUBMISSION OF MANAGEMENT REPORTS
The person responsible must provide the following reports and submitted it on time to Branch Management and Head Office.
•    Weekly approval and declines
•    Monthly approval and decline summaries
•    Monthly credit mandate deviations

2.1 CUSTOMER SERVICE
Has to ensure that clients, lawyers and brokers are handled in a professional manner with accurate information about loan application progress and general home loan details required.

3.1 MARKETING
Responsible to identify cross selling opportunities and refer such opportunities and leads to the correct person, branch or department involved.

4.1 KNOWLEDGE OF BANK’S CREDIT POLICY
4.2 KNOWLEDGE OF PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
The person should have the adequate knowledge of the products and services that apply to his post.

The person should have the sufficient knowledge of the systems and procedures that apply to his post to carry out the work effectively.

Minimum requirements

EXPERRIENCE / KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
•    Knowledge of the system and processes.
•    Must have adequate knowledge of the different products.
•    Professional image and grooming
•    Self-confident and interpersonal skills.
•    Computer literate: (Knowledge of Windows 2000, Microsoft Outlook, Excel Level 1 & 2 and Word level 1 & 2.
•    Analytical skills.
•    Product knowledge.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
•    Matric (Grade 12)
•    Credit Diploma will be an advantage.
