Introduction
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION Responsible for maintaining an effective and efficient physical security environment, including access control, alarms, and CCTV. To manage and maintain excellent control on issuing and verifying of all access cards, and or biometrics to permanent/temporary staff and visitors at Capricorn Corner Building, Bank Windhoek Building, Capricorn House, and Capricorn Group Building and ensuring the control over unauthorized access to any Bank Windhoek Building using the access control system. Assist in all administrative duties regarding monitoring and maintaining all Bank access control, alarms and CCTV systems.

Key Performance Areas (KPAs)
 
Access Control
  • Monitor, operate, record and report any incidents of default access control  
  • Attend , update internal ME calls on a daily basis
  • Source accredited vendors to resolve access control failures logged via ME call or detected during physical security visits
  • Compile documentation i.e.Call logged , Quote, job card, invoice for approval, and sign off by the Manager Operations Support as soon as the vendor attended to the task.
  • Issue permanent, temporary/visitors access control cards/ biometrics as per procedures documented.
  • Verify permanent and temporary staff members access cards/biometrics with application forms every month.
  • Effectively action and verify the monthly access control audit reports
  • Monthly actioning of termination and transfer reports as received from Human Resources
  • Visitors registers including visitors cards must be scrutinized every week to comply with minimum security standards as per BON ruling. Review and signed off by.
  • Immediately report illegal acts/incidents, any unauthorized entry attempts, and all suspicious or unusual activities.
  • Notify the Manager Operations Support in the event of an emergency situation
  • Report and liaise with Manager Operations Support to resolve all faults without delays. Sensitive areas to be resolved within agreed SLA turnaround times 
  • Carry out ad hoc duties relating to access/physical security control that might be required by the manager Operations Support. 
  • Must be willing to do any other reasonable and lawful instructions as given to the incumbent by his/her supervisor on time.

Alarm and CCTV maintenance
  • Monitor, operate, record and report any incidents of default Intrusion/Fire Alarms/ CCTV 
  • Source accredited vendors to resolve Alarm / CCTV failures logged via ME call or detected during physical security visits
  • Compile documentation , Call logged , Quote , job card , invoice for approval and sign of by the Manager Operations Support as soon as the vendor attended to the task.
  • Report and liaise with Manager Operations Support to resolve all faults without delays. 
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times and to ensure that all procedures associated with the data/systems monitoring are complied with at all times
  • To maintain accurate record keeping and documentation of all incidents identified, reported, resolved and escalated within specified times
  • Coordinate resolution of chronic problem Alarms and CCTV systems as detected through Proview/branch fault reporting
  • Work closely with alarm and CCTV installer to monitor fault reporting and actioned within 48 hours.
  • Carry out ad hoc duties relating to the monitoring of Burglar Alarms/Fire Alarms and CCTV systems that might be required by the Manager Operations Support/Manager Physical Security

Minimum requirements

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
 
  • At least one year working experience
  • Flexible and self motivated
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Listening skills
  • Good interpersonal skills

QUALIFICATIONS
 
•    Grade 12
•    Valid driver’s license
•    Access Control / Alarm/CCTV systems experience an added advantage
