Introduction
Responsible for managing a sales team and the effective and sufficient execution of the marketing activities in the retail area within the Branch. Constantly building, improving and maintaining relationships with vehicle dealers and F&I’s to generate and build a pipeline of business. Increase and maintain market share. Responsible for identifying businesses to do presentations to generate leads and build our portfolio; create a platform to do cross-selling of all bank products. Obtain information on marketing activities of competitors and have a clear understanding of our industry.

Key Performance Areas (KPAs)

1.Sales Focus
1.1 Market Research/ Needs Determination 
Responsible for accessing selective information and update records on the following:
•    Competitors’ Products and Services
•    Market share in the selected Market Sector
•    Client composition
•    Execute and manage the accepted marketing plan 
•    Promote the Bank Windhoek brand by delivering professional service, availability and knowledgeable in your conduct 
 
1.2    Compiling a Marketing/ Sales Plan
      Ensure that the marketing plan is compiled as follows:
•    The branch’s marketing guidelines and sector focus have been considered
•    Adjustments to the client and market profile to fit changes in the industry
•    The Action plans being realistic and practical, based on a proper SWOT analysis
•    Taking into consideration the seasonal activities in the market
•    Proper planning of all campaign activities according to agreed annual marketing activities of the bank
 
1.3    Achieving the branch’s allocated objectives on a monthly basis
•    Ensure that the team reporting to you, achieve the agreed monthly targets whilst assisting and motivate them to succeed
•    Canvass selling opportunities with approved Dealer network
•    Identify new selling opportunities for the team reporting into you
•    Responsible to protect market share and grow according to bank’s objectives

1.4    Execution of Marketing Plan
Responsible for the execution of the marketing plan by launching proactive marketing      actions from time from time on own initiative to obtain new business
1.4.1
•    Management of contracting activities and the meaningful orientation discussions and acceptance by staff and branch personnel
•    Support to personnel through assistance; training and facilitation 
•    On-going follow-up and monitoring with immediate rectification such as reprioritization of objectives and adjustments to priorities
1.4.2
•    Execution of pro-active marketing activities on own merits and initiatives to grow our share of new to bank business
•    Approach identified market sectors, groups and clients and compile a contact list with a plan of action
•    Identify cross-selling opportunities to include all sectors of the CIH group
1.4.3
•    Responsible for the execution of all re-active marketing activities in the branch and should react within 24 hours on all leads, branch requests and telephone calls received to obtain new business and to also promote the branch’s services and to make sure that most of these result in concluded business
•    Cross-selling targets which focuses on credit life insurance, short term insurance and all retail products and to promote the portfolio of Bank products and services to dealers
•    Ensure assessment feedback to Dealers, F&I´s and clients takes place within agreed SLA
•    Ensure contracts are ready for signatory within the agreed SLA
•    Ensure disbursements to approved dealers takes place within agreed SLA 
•    Promote new dealerships by assessing according to the Bank Windhoek criteria 
 
2. Customer Focus
2.1 Customer Service and Relationship building
•    Handle clients and dealers in a professional manner with accurate information about the branch’s products and services and limited complaints are received
•    Record keeping of all compliments received and annotated on Sparkfolios
 
2.2 Customer Liaison
•    Liaise with customers, dealers and retail branches on all enquiries and administrative aspects of the position; maintain strong working relationships with all to facilitate co-operation to benefit all involved
•    Effectively liaise with customers and external partners and be available to customers and staff to answer any reasonable questions and be the choice of first contact for any asset finance need or then nominate a trained member to assist if on leave or not available
•    Presentations to Corporate / Sister Companies on offerings from a branch perspective in close relation with other stakeholders in the division
 
2.3    Aftercare of Dealers
•    Visit dealers on an ongoing basis to identify their problems/complaints and report back to management
•    Responsible to develop and maintain credible relationships with all stakeholders at appropriate levels through reliable and skilful application of specialist knowledge. 
•    Identifying new dealers to approach and be approved to build business
•    Management of call reports of team on dealer visits
•    Regional visits to strengthen relationship with regional dealers
•    Build trust with dealers by assisting them with queries and resolving problems
•    Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers by sharing information and giving feedback in meetings
 
3. Administration
3.1    Management Reports 
•    Responsible for all marketing reports and results, as well as submissions conformed to prescribed procedures or requirements are reported to management on a monthly and ad-hoc basis.
•    Working through monthly maturity list to do proper client retention
•    Working through monthly Balloon maturity list to ensure client interaction takes place within agreed time
•    Responsible for the weekly/monthly compiling of achieved objective reports
•    Weekly / Monthly Reports to divisional head to portray true figures and a picture of possible pipe-line deals 
•    Obtain and complete monthly dealer stats, identify and proactively address any concerns with allocated consultant, dealership, F&I and branch
 
4. Personnel Management
4.1 Application and Utilization of Personnel
•    Ensure that personnel are judiciously applied in appropriate positions and that the workload is cleared with the minimum mistakes and overtime
•    Measurement of achievements against monthly targets and the responsibility to motivate team to achieve set targets
•    Ensure that staff provide a prompt and effective support service to clients and dealers as well as Staff.
•    Assisting staff to complete outstanding collateral issues as on branch report to credit

4.2 Personnel Training, Development and Facilitation
•    Responsible for effective on-the-job training and the planning thereof
•    Responsible for effectively planning and nominating staff for training and development to ensure that sufficient expertise is available to deal with the work
 
4.3 Evaluation of Personnel
•    The incumbent should have sufficient knowledge of personnel and their duties to do effective evaluation and ongoing discussions must take place and evaluations must be done on a regular basis according to the guidelines of the system
•    In-house training and motivation of staff re sales techniques

5. Expertise
•    The person should have adequate knowledge of the products and services provided by the Bank and those provided by competitors
•    The person should have sufficient knowledge of the systems and procedures that apply to his/her position to carry out the work effectively
•    The person should have sufficient knowledge and background with regards to Instalment Sales finance and regulations linked to it 
 
6. Conduct
•    Abide by and uphold the Banks ¨code of conduct¨ regarding professionalism, commitment, reliability, confidentiality, brand loyalty, behaviour in public discipline, etc. 
•    Proposed &/or implement control measurements to prevent any future losses. (Build a Risk Nervous System)

•    Must be willing to do any other reasonable and lawful instruction/task and ensure it is 
normally carried out on time and correct.

Minimum requirements

Experience/Knowledge & Skills:
•    Knowledge of the system and processing activities, products and services as well as an understanding of the Bank environment in order to effectively service and answer all related enquiries of the branch
•    Knowledge for External Environment, Market and products of Competitors 
•    Professional image and grooming
•    Self-confidence and interpersonal skills
•    5 Years’ experience in a banking sales environment
•    Knowledge and understanding of best practices in operating of the business

•    5 Year marketing experience in a similar environment of which a minimum of 2 years should be a t management level

QUALIFICATION:
•    Matric (Grade12)  
•    MDP / LDP certificate
•    Degree/ Diploma in Sales or Marketing would be an added advantage
•    3 years related banking experience in a Supervisory or Management position
