Introduction
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION: • Daily management of the Processes and Procedures department to provide the services required to support the Capricorn Group of companies. Services include the following:  Business Process Improvement  Business Process Re-engineering  Business Process Management  Business Procedure Management  Business Capability Management • Identify and manage the company’s efforts in obtaining industry standards or quality certifications e.g. ISO certification. • Implement and manage the selected industry standard or quality certification and provide training to employees on related processes, procedures, and documentation. • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of the Enterprise Process Repository and the various components that exist within that environment. • Ensuring that the standards, frameworks and methodologies regarding processes and procedures are in place and being utilised. • Establish and maintain a central repository for all business processes and procedures. • Oversee the project and process management duties of the Business Analysts. • Responsible for the identification, management and resolution of key issues on projects. • Ensure that services delivered by the department are of a high quality and standard and meets the clients’ expectations. • Proactively investigates existing processes and procedures, identify areas of weakness and recommend changes. • Ensure that other entities in the Group are supported.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (KPAs)
1.    KPA
Enterprise Process Repository Responsibilities: 
•    Implement and maintain the Enterprise Process Repository strategy and plans.
•    Manage the Enterprise Process Repository environment and resources to effectively make the most of those assets. 
•    Play a key role in the structure, delivery and maintenance of Enterprise Process Repository assets. 
•    Take ownership of the planning and execution of project items related to the delivery of the Enterprise Process Repository environment. 
•    Ensure service components within the Enterprise Process Repository environment are maintained.
Practice Development 
•    Plan, schedule and conduct workshops to facilitate structured Meta model and Enterprise Process Repository walk-throughs with the aim of efficient object links, building of logical flows, standardisation, operating model analysis, to-be design and feedback. 
•    Assist Business Analysts with the building of the operating models and level 1-2 processes according to best industry practice models. 
•    Understand the Processes and Procedures team requirements and delivery objectives with the aim of establishing effective and efficient Enterprise Process Repository support. 
•    Assist with the development and maintenance of standard process management components within the Enterprise Process Repository. 
•    Manage documentation deliverables in terms of quality and timing. Sign off on deliverables created by the Processes and Procedures team. 
•    Ensure project reporting and communication is in place for own deliverables. 
•    Incorporate and maintain the relevant modelling notation into the Enterprise Process Repository. 
•    Prepare and deliver training with regards to the Enterprise Process Repository and Meta model components. 
•    Maintain Enterprise Process Repository components (Templates, Procedure manuals, Process Objects). 
•    Maintain the integrity of data captured in the Enterprise Process Repository.
 
Business Process Architecture 
 
•    Take responsibility with regards to Business Process Architecture when developing, implementing and maintaining a standard, a framework, a methodology or a governance structure. 
 
People Management 
 
•    Manage Business Analysts to ensure high quality models are produced and effective process analysis can be conducted. 
•    This entails the planning, monitoring and controlling of work with the aim of quality deliverables. 
•    Provide advice and guidance to staff to enable them to achieve their objectives. 
•    Attend to delegated staffing matters of the department. 
•    Manage the coaching and development of staff. 
•    Ensure succession planning within the area. 
•    Pursuing effective reaching of diversity targets.

Minimum requirements

Qualifications    
 
•    Bachelor’s degree in informatics, Engineering, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
•    Postgraduate Qualification recommended 
•    Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. Black Belt Preferred
•    Business Analysis and BPMN 2.0 Certification
•    Agile, PMP Certification and/or Prince II
 
Experience
• Minimum of 6 years' experience applicable to the role (3 years managerial/supervisory experience required)
• Appropriate Computer Systems knowledge (MS Office Suite including MS Visio, and MS Project) 
• Experience in best practice analysis methodologies, software and standards 
• Experience in process standards 
• Experience in BPMN process notation 
• Experience in a process/technology tool 
• Experience in managing an Enterprise Process Repository
