Introduction
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION
Perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems, to ensure that buildings and services are of the required standard and provide a safe and healthy working environment.
Job description
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
1.1 Ensure all queries request is handled professionally and timeously. Regular feedback on query resolution
1.2 Completing minor repair work, which includes repairing doors, locks, door frames and handles as well as replacing light bulbs, sockets, switches.
1.3 Performing basic plumbing tasks, which includes unclogging drains as well as fixing leaking faucets and toilets.
1.4 Inspecting control panels and electrical wiring to detect any issues that require immediate attention.
1.5 Taking inventory of maintenance supplies and notifying the Supervisor of low or depleted supplies.
1.6 Promptly responding to requests for emergency repairs
1.7 Ensuring that all maintenance equipment is in good working order.
4. INTERNAL BUSINESS PROCESSES
4.1 Preventative Maintenance
- Responsible for the execution of your own preventative maintenance Ensure that self-repairs are done with the correct material according to the schedule/priority set.
- Do on-site inspections and follow-up on contractors to ensure timeous and correct preventative maintenance.

4.3 General routine issues
- Ensure that internal departments/divisions are assisted professionally when it comes to premises maintenance related issues.
- Ensure correct procedures are followed regarding contractual maintenance process
- Ensure adherence to the agreed CI of the Bank

4.4 General
- It would be expected of the incumbent to be available when needed, i.e. over weekends and after hours. Prior arrangements will take place.

Minimum requirements
EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
• At least 3 years’ related experience in Property Maintenance.
• General knowledge of the workflow processes within a banking environment
• Knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, welding, electrical systems, building products and techniques
• Good practical skills/ good eye of detail
• Good problem solving
• Self-confidence and interpersonal skills
• Computer literate and familiar with MS Office applications
