Introduction
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION
Accountable for effective and efficient management and administration for managing and executing the recovery of vehicles and other assets from clients in default, before legal action is taken. Furthermore, responsible for locating and recovering vehicles and other assets from clients who are difficult to trace or who have become uncontactable. The role involves advanced investigative techniques to track down assets, coordinate recovery efforts, and ensure compliance with all legal and ethical standards.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (KPAS)
1. Management of Tracing Activities
• Responsible for the management of internal tracing instructions such as locating vehicles and individuals, BIPA searches, Natis searches, Deeds searches, etc. Detailed written feedback to be submitted to the requester.
• Responsible for reports to manage the internal tracing process.
• Conduct thorough investigations to locate clients who are unresponsive or difficult to find, using advanced tracing techniques and tools.

2. Management of Repossession Process
• Ensure effective and efficient execution of repossession of assets (articles and vehicles).
• Plan and execute the safe and legal recovery of located vehicles and other assets, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum efficiency.
• Effective and efficient management of trips related to the repossession of assets in and around Namibia.
• Ensure vehicles are listed on the insurance of the Bank once the vehicle and/or article has been repossessed and removed as per Bank policy.
• Ensure that there is no unnecessary damage or losses to movable items due to ineffective control over the storage procedure or compliance with storage prescriptions.

3. Inspection
• Inspection of all vehicles that has been placed in the Bank’s possession through voluntary surrender in terms of the Credit Agreements Act and by court order and arranging valuations.
• Inspection of all immovable properties within the Khomas region in respect of insurance in order to ensure that correct insurance is taken out over the property. Ensure that a report is compiled of all inspections.

4. Waiver application
• Preparation of all necessary documentation required for submission of the waiver - application with the Ministry of Lands and Resettlement.
• Attending the Ministry of Lands and Resettlement office to submit application for Land Tax assessments and for submission of waiver application and ensuring the process is managed diligently.

5. Preparation for auctions for vehicles (articles)
• Responsible for the preparation of an auction which includes moving items to the auction premises, obtaining valuations for repossessed items, compiling lists of items cleared for auctions, preparing dealer stock listing (NATIS) and police clearance (POLICE) of vehicles in respect of registration of vehicles.
• Ensure that no items appear for longer than the prescribed periods on the list of repossessed items
• Ensure to have sufficient number of vehicles for each auction as scheduled.

• Exercise control over daily, weekly, monthly, yearly and ad-hoc reports, as identified.

• Maintain detailed and accurate records of all tracing and recovery activities, including client interactions, recovery attempts, and asset conditions.
• Ensure that a management report regarding repossessions, tracing, inspections, waivers and payment received is submitted on a monthly basis as well as information on request, with limited comebacks or requests for additional information.

Minimum requirements
QUALIFICATION
• Driver’s License Essential
• Bachelor's Degree in Legal Studies or Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in asset recovery, vehicle tracing, or related fields.
• 8 years experience with advanced tracing techniques and tracing.
• Driver’s License Essential
