Job description

Key Performance Areas (KPAs)

Strategy, Budgets and Costs
With the Head of People Development develops the Training Strategy and specific training development plans in line with the HR strategy
Develops the overall Budget for design and development solutions for Training and Development programs
Content Analysis
Analyse the content of the training programs and the learning objective and outcome to determine the presentation tool of the learning experience
Research and compilation of questionnaires and documentation to comprehensively analyse learning experiences
Training and Development Programs
Development and customisation of training interventions to ensure that there is an alignment of the outcomes of learning with the required outputs of the learners i.e., training which ensures that learners have the skills and competence required to deliver on the objectives of the company.

Designing virtual and e-learning content, Graphic Design
Create and Revise e-learning software, maintain e-learning content on the software, develop SCORM compliant e-learning
Develop story board and scripts for e-learning and virtual live training, upload and configure e-learning methods and technologies into e-learning
Create multimedia products with minimal defects with graphics, effects and sounds, create images and animations that identify a concept
Develop graphics for class-room based learning, online training, web learning
Administration
Plan all training and development content annually and ad hoc
Compile and apply relevant forms for the execution of training and effectiveness measurement
Compile monthly training report and identify trends and report performance of programs
Establish learning communities using internal employee engagement platforms, monitor and support trained employees
Stakeholder Engagement
Liaises with external institutions like the training and qualification authorities, universities and learning institutions to exchange best practices
Liaises with line management and internal stakeholder to improve service delivery and optimise quality of learning content
Self-Development
Keep abreast of best learning and development practices, Company processes, legal requirements, operational changes, systems and procedures, methods that affect the learning content

Minimum requirements

Knowledge/Experience/Skills Required
•              At least 10 years’ experience in the banking environment
•              At least 3 years’ experience in developing learning content for classroom-based and e-learning or virtual based training
•              A code BE (08) driver’s licence is a prerequisite for this role
•              Managing a budget and costs
•              Banking processes, policies and procedures
•              In depth knowledge of Credit and Collateral, Forex and BOPCUS, Telling and ATM, Banks products and systems, specialised finance products, customer experience and sales
•              In-depth knowledge of all regulations guiding National Qualification Standards
•              In-depth knowledge of MS office, Adobe Creative Cloud, Captivate, Audition, InDesign and SCORM or similar tools
•              Adult learning theory and application
•              Design principles and best practices for effective learning media use and learner engagement
•              Sound instructional design principals and proper utilisation of technology to enhance training content and delivery thereof
•              Effective practices around change management
•              Research and analysis methods
•              Current and emerging learning technology trends and tools
•              Advanced knowledge of MS Office Products
•              Excellent communication and time management skills
•              Presenting and Communicating Information, writing and reporting
•              Organisation and analysis of complex information and problems
•              Developing effective training and development programs
•              Web-based learning technology design and development of eLearning tools
•              Leveraging technology and applications in support and delivery of learning content

Qualifications
Degree in HR / Organisational Development with main focus on Training and Development and/or qualification in Graphic and Instructional Design
Bankers Diploma or a Banking related qualification
