Job description

Key Performance Areas (KPAs)
 
1 Sales Focus
• Responsible for identifying cross-selling opportunities and to refer such opportunities and leads to the sales area.
 
2 Collateral Administration
• Acceptance, transfer and handing over of security documents
• Responsible for finalising in accordance with the prescribed procedures the required documents regarding cessions, pledges etc. in respect of
• acceptance of securities
• follow up of securities
• transfer of securities
• handing over of securities
• Responsible for ensuring that all documents are submitted in full when securities are accepted
• Capturing of securities
• Responsible for ensuring that all security-related documentation is captured on the system, noted on the envelope and filed
• Follow-up
• Responsible for carrying out the following security-related follow-up actions:
• Follow up of missing/faulty securities
• Updating of securities values
• Review of property valuations
• Confirmation of investments
• Responsible for reporting to Support Services and clients on the status of securities
• Cost recovery
• Responsible for ensuring that costs and revenue stamps are recovered in accordance with the officially approved tariff structure.
• Guarantees and letters of intent
• Responsible for ensuring that guarantees and letters of intent are issued, recorded, balanced and paid out in accordance with the prescribed procedures
• Securities with policy/investment payments
• Responsible for ensuring that the following follow-up actions, as applicable, are carried out when policies and investments that were offered as security, are paid out:
• Dispatch of security documents
• Acknowledgement of receipt by companies
• Execution of management instructions
• Safe custody
• Responsible for following the prescribed procedures for the acceptance, recording, issuing and cost recovery in respect of safe custody items
• Wills
• Responsible for following procedures in connection with the dispatch of wills to Estate and Trust division, as well as the signing, recording and filing of wills and cost recovery.
• Daily, weekly and monthly reports
• Responsible for correctly addressing and rectifying data capturing errors and warnings.
• Compiling contracts
• Responsible for ensuring that contracts are legally and correctly finalised.

·    Credit Life weekly reconciliation and pay over to Sanlam
·    Revenue Stamps daily reconciliation 
 
 
3 Customer Focus
• Provide professional customer service and give correct information to clients.
 
4 People Management
• Ensure that the right people are placed in the right positions in order to reduce workload, overtime and staff turnover
• Effectively plan and conduct formal and on the job trainings to ensure that sufficient expertise are available to perform the job
• Sufficient knowledge of staff and their duties to do effective evaluation in accordance the Banks guidelines.

• Adequate knowledge of Banks products and services that applies to this post.
• Has sufficient knowledge of the systems and procedures that apply to his job to carry out the work effectively.

Minimum requirements

Experience/Knowledge & Skills
 
• At least 2 years credit / collateral experience 
• Knowledge of Products and Services
• Knowledge of Business & Administration Procedures
• Computer literacy essential (Word, Excel)
• Excellent interpersonal relationship skills
 
QUALIFICATION
 
  • Grade 12
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar environment 
  • Certificate in Banking
  • Formal Collateral training course / Bank Windhoek
  • Formal Credit Training course – Bank Windhoek
  • Legal qualification will be an added advantage
